Every year since 2007, the J. Joseph Curran Jr. Public Service Award has been presented to a government or public interest lawyer known for selflessly serving the public good and furthering the goals of better government and societal standards. The Curran Award is named in honor of former Maryland Attorney General J. Joseph Curran, Jr.

This award will be presented at the Maryland Bar Foundation 60th Anniversary Gala (October 2025).
